There was a lot to see and do on September 10, 11, and 12, 2015!!! It was the Excelsior Hose Company's 125 Anniversary Celebration, which was celebrated along with the 85th Northeastern Pennsylvania Volunteer Firemen's Federation Convention!

We're talking about a block party at the corner of Willow and Grant, (The old Holy Ghost Parking lot) featuring Food, Fun, Games, and DJ Entertainment.

The Block Party featured feature:

• Morrison's Food Concessions
• Justus Fire Dept. Wings
• Olyphant Hose Co. #2 Homemade Stuffed Cabbage
• Olyphant Little League Hotdogs, Hamburgers, and Sausage
• Skeeter's Water and Children's Novelties
• The Boneyard Boyz

On Friday Night there was a tribute to the fallen and heros of 9/11 presented by A.J. Gilgallon at the Olyphant Legion Hall. A.J. was part of the Federal Urban Rescue Team that performed search and rescue at the Twin Towers.

On Saturday, starting at 2pm at the little league field, there was a parade down South Valley Avenue featuring:

• Marching Bands
• Marine Corps League
• Friends of the Forgotten
• Road Scholar 9/11 Tribute Trailer
• PSP Strong Trailer

A great time was had by all! I hope you got to be in Olyphant that weekend!
